About Jean-Claude Monney
Jean-Claude Monney is an author and publisher dedicated to preserving and sharing living knowledge through books and stories.
After decades in technology and knowledge leadership, including serving as Chief Knowledge Officer at Microsoft, he turned his attention to a different question: how do we preserve the experience, judgment, and know-how that often disappear when they are never written down or passed on?
Through Du Terroir Au Nectar™, Jean-Claude creates narrative books that capture the voices, stories, and expertise of remarkable people.
His first work, L’Odyssée d’un maître de chai, follows Swiss winemaker Jean-Michel Walther through a journey from terroir to tasting, preserving decades of lived experience through conversation and storytelling.
Future books will expand into other worlds where mastery is shaped by patience, practice, and time.

L’Odyssée d’un maître de chai is the first title published under Du Terroir Au Nectar™. It follows Jean-Michel Walther, an award-winning Swiss vigneron and maître de chai, through a narrative journey from terroir to tasting.
More than a book about wine, it preserves the living knowledge behind his work: the choices, gestures, patience, doubts, and judgment shaped over decades of experience.
The French edition is now available. The English edition is in development.
